3h Costa Adeje whale watching boat trip

Whale and Dolphin Watching Costa Adeje 3 hours Boat Trip

If you are looking for excursions from Costa Adeje you cannot miss the experience of watching whales from a catamaran.

You can enjoy a Costa Adeje boat trip, and at the same time, enjoy the pleasure of seeing whales in their natural habitat.

Our 3 hour Freebird Catamaran excursion leaves daily from Puerto Colón, in Costa Adeje (Tenerife).

Our catamarans will sail looking for whales and dolphins in the area of Costa Adeje. During our whale and Dolphin Costa Adeje Tours the catamaran crew will inform you about the characteristics of the cetacean species in their natural environment.

You will learn about their customs, food, migrations, etc. Once we have been able to contemplate free species of cetaceans such as pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, spotted dolphins, amongst others, you can relax, sunbathe and enjoy a swim in the sea. Finally we will return to Puerto Colon.

As you sail around looking for these incredible animals, you’ll learn interesting facts about the different species of marine life that inhabit the waters along Costa Adeje. Watch as pilot whales, common bottlenose dolphins and spotted dolphins swim alongside the catamaran to make friends – don’t forget to say hello! After making the most of the whale and dolphin spotting experience, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the island’s beautiful natural scenery on Masca Beach. Admire the views, take in the warmth of the sun and cool off with a refreshing swim in the sea. The perfect end to a magical boat trip! At the end of your catamaran cruise around Costa Adeje, you’ll return to Puerto Colón from where you’ll make your way back to your departure points.

This tour includes pick up from the main hotels in the northern and southern tourist areas of Tenerife: Los Gigantes, Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Golf del Sur.

When booking, you must tell us the name of your accommodation so we can get in contact with you to confirm the exact pick-up time and the closest meeting point to your hotel.

Pick up for the south area, from Los Gigantes to Golf del Sur, is included on this tour on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Pick-up times vary depending on your location but generally will be between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm for the north area; and between 8.25 am and 9.40 am, or 11.25 am and 12.55 pm for the south.

Booked the Freebird Gold trip with reserved sun beds and it was excellent! Lots of drinks and food included in price and a really spacious catamaran to enjoy. Seeing the school of pilot whales so close up ( sprayed us from their blowholes as they swan under the catamaran nets) was the highlight of my holiday. An experience I will never forget. Can highly recommend this trip.

Went out on freebird F15 yesterday with husband and daughter. The crew were fab starting with Sue at the kiosk, nothing was any trouble and she couldn't do enough. The lunch on board exceeded our expectations it was tasty and plentiful. Got to see whales but the best for me was the cliffs of los gigantes and swimming in the sea at masca bay. Will definetely be booking again when i come back in next year

Great staff, especially Marlon, who was our eyes, keeping watch for whales. All crew were friendly and a commentary in various languages was available. Please be aware, the sea life is NOT guaranteed. This isn't a theme park. Recommended for the chance to see Los Gigantes

Great experience, the catamaran was roomy and the sun loungers were only an extra €10, which was well worth it. We went on the morning cruise (10am) and were given a ham & cheese roll which was fine. Free beer, wine, soft drinks, and water. Cornettos were €2.50. Staff were friendly and helpful, pointing out animals to see. We saw pilot whales, 2 types of dolphin, and 2 turtles! Apparently we were very lucky, as dolphins are a 50% chance and whales are 90%
