Freebird took part in the “Nature Interpretation for Tourism Companies” workshop organized by Turismo de Tenerife.
Part of the Freebird team attended several sessions of the training programme designed for companies affiliated with the Sustainability Charters, an initiative that provides free and specialized training aimed at improving the sustainability and quality of nature-based tourism activities. The programme included talks on topics such as carbon footprint measurement and the latest research on cetaceans.
On May 6th, the training session “Nature Interpretation in Sustainable Tourism Activities” took place at the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre. The workshop was led by Belén López, official Tourism Guide of the Government of the Canary Islands, and was exclusively addressed to employees of companies affiliated with the Charter for the Sustainability of Activities in the Nature, with the goal of advancing towards a more sustainable tourism model that is committed to protecting Tenerife’s natural environment.
