What is a cookie?
This website uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information when you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very diverse purposes, such as, for example, recognizing you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits, or personalizing the way content is displayed. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
What types of cookies exist?
Depending on who manages it, there are:
a) Own cookies: are those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
b) Third-party cookies: are those that are sent to the user’s terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.
Depending on the type of purpose there are:
a) Technical cookies: These are those that allow the user to navigate through a web page, platform or application and use the different options/services that exist in it (for example: identify a session, access restricted access places , remember elements that make up a purchase, carry out the purchase process of an order, store content for the dissemination of videos or sound or share content through social networks, etc.).
b) Analytics: are those that, processed by us or by third parties, allow us to quantify the number of users and thus carry out the measurement and statistical analysis of the use made by users of the service offered. For this, your browsing on our website is analyzed in order to improve the offer of products or services that we offer you.
c) Preference or personalization cookies: Personalization cookies are those that allow users to remember their preferences when they browse a website they have already visited. For example, they allow remembering the preferred language of use of the web, the region in which the user is located in order to propose suitable content, or also the type of browser through which to access a specific service, etc. Preference cookies are also those that allow you to change the size of the text, the font or the other parts of the web pages that can be personalized. The purpose of personalization cookies is to offer users easier, more fluid and personalized navigation.
d) Social network cookies and other plug-ins: These cookies allow users to interact with the content of a website on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. An example of the use of this cookie would be sharing a site on Facebook or clicking “Like”. The conditions of use and the information collected from these cookies are regulated by the platforms themselves.
e) Advertising cookies: These are those that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where appropriate, the editor has included in a web page, application or platform from which the requested service is provided based on to criteria such as the content edited or the frequency with which the content is displayed.
f) Behavioral advertising: these are those that, processed by us or by third parties, allow us to analyze your Internet browsing habits so that we can show you advertising related to your browsing profile.
According to the period of time they remain active:
a) Session cookies: are those designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. They are usually used to store information that is only interesting to keep for the provision of the service requested by the user on a single occasion (for example, a list of products purchased) and they disappear when the session ends.
b) Persistent cookies: are those in which the data is still stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, and which can range from a few minutes to several years.
