Having been picked up from your hotel, you’ll be taken to Puerto Colón, a harbour where you’ll board a catamaran for your adventure along the Adeje Coast. Relax and enjoy the peaceful rocking of the boat as you cruise over to an area where whales and dolphins live in the wild.

As you sail around looking for these incredible animals, you’ll learn interesting facts about the different species of marine life that inhabit the waters along the rugged cliffs of Los Gigantes.
Watch as pilot whales, common bottlenose dolphins and spotted dolphins swim alongside the catamaran to make friends – don’t forget to say hello!
After making the most of the whale and dolphin spotting experience, you’ll have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the island’s beautiful natural scenery on Masca Beach.

Hotel pick up
This tour includes pick up from the main hotels in the northern of Tenerife, in Puerto de la Cruz and the hotel La Quinta in Santa Ursula.
When booking, you must tell us the name of your accommodation so we can get in contact with you to confirm the exact pick-up time and the closest meeting point to your hotel.
This tour for bus pick up points from the north, departures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Pick-up times vary depending on your location but generally will be between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm for the north area; and between 8.25 am and 9.40 am, or 11.25 am and 12.55 pm for the south. In the following map you can see the pick-up points map of our buses.
We recommend waiting 15 minutes before the previously mentioned timetable, as these can vary according to the traffic and / or uncommon circumstances to Freebird Catamaran.

Our catamarans offer a VIP Sunbed Zone with comfortable sunbeds. Relax on your bed in the sun and enjoy a privileged view at the bow of the catamaran to see the whales and dolphins in the best company.
Not included in the sales price. Sunbeds cannot be pre-booked in advance.

Where should I wait for the Freebird bus?
If you require a bus transfer for our Masca boat trip, please ensure you choose the option for a transfer when booking, from here you can select your hotel from a list.
Once you have booked, you will receive confirmation of the time and place of your pick-up, with a map included if the pick-up point differs from your hotel.
We recommend being at the pick-up point 10 minutes before the time stated, as sometimes there can be slight variations due to traffic conditions
How do I Make the reservation?
- Choose the date you want to book on the booking form on this page
- After that, choose the hour of your excursion and the number of attendees
- Then, click on the green button MAKE BOOKING, and fill your personal data on the following screen of the form.
- In the dropdown list PICK UP POINTS, choose the hotel where you will be staying during your stay in Tenerife, and you will see the bus timetable that will pass by your hotel
- Then, choose the payment method you are going to use and complete the process

How can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Check our general conditions to see the policy of cancellations and modifications of reservations. If you need to cancel a booked excursion or request a refund, you must do it by sending an email to webbookings@freebirdone.com with the reservation number, name and date of the excursion.

Is food included in the excursion?
Yes, the 4,5h excursion to Masca & Los Gigantes whale watching includes a lunch, usually Chicken Meatballs in Sauce, Huertano Rice, Bread and Canarian Banana. Soft drinks, water and beer are also included. Ice creams are not included, and have an additional cost.
Can I make a phone reservation?
Yes, you can make a last-minute booking by phone, or ask us if there are places available to make a trip on a date that is not in the booking calendar of our website.
Is it possible to travel with a wheelchair?
It is not possible to use a wheelchair whilst onboard our catamarans, therefore it is very important to have some mobility to board our catamarans.

What can I do if I get sick frequently on a boat?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist to recommend pills for motion sickness. Depending on the conditions of the sea, there are days of greater swell, and you may get dizzy.
